they werent to bad becaus eabout 100 of them were retired show calves and the rest were a little tipsie but they werent to bad we have an angus that will take you out though

I know it wasnt too long ago, but when I was in high school in the mid 90's Limis where a popular breed in my area. I worked many a cattle sale in the alleys dodging wall-eyed calves, and yes a good share of them where Limis. Didnt say they where all bad either, just not a preference of mine. I like cows with alot of ear and Charolais bulls and hear many of the same type comments toward them, but I dont get all bent out of shape about it and tell someone they dont know what they're talking about. Have a good one sir.

You seem to have made a general statement to how bad they are. I would say your answer agrees with the fact you have never raised any. I really don't think your qualified to make a statement on something with the degree of expierence you claim you have.

I have been around cattle longer than I care to admitt,and I am sure there were some flighty Limi's,I just never found them to be anymore or less high strung than the other breeds.
I was in the market for a couple bulls a few weeks back and looked at some Limousin bulls,guess there were about two dozen,everyone dog gentle,I really believe the story about Limi's being high strung,may be old news..............good luck

Why do you think I am not qualified to give an oppinion ? I never claimed to be an expert or anything remotely close to that, but I do have experience relative to others who have been in the business for the same # of years and I have a genuine love for this business as it is. As to your invitation to come see you, I would be glad to, but for the right reasons. I am not going to express doubt in your abilities as a cattleman, and would listen to any ideas you may have if it would in any way improve my abilities. I am not a novice, I just believe you can never learn too much

We have been raising Lim's longer than you have been alive. Seeing animals in the barn enviroment don't make you an expert to shoot your mouth off about their temperment.

Next time you think of taking a shot at a breed, think about your knowledge base.

I only invited to come see us for the right reasons. You would see something that would teach you something. No physical threats as you may have interpreted.

Learning is a good thing. Never stop trying it.

I know where your coming from. I appreciate you guys who have been in this business for so long. You are the teachers of a very tough trade, albeit an enjoyable one. I shouldnt have just only used the barn example, as I have more than that kind of experience. I took another post in past tense and was speaking in past tense as well, but I will try not to sound all knowing anymore. I look up to you guys who've been through so much and have nothing but respect for you guys.
