Late snow and heifers calving

What is it about the approach of a storm to get the gals calving.
Snow on friday...bull calf from a lim cross heifer Friday afternoon. She has no problems comming into the barn.
Snow comming tonight...heifer calf from a red baldie this evening. Near every cow on the place wanted in the barn except her, calved under the loafing shed then moved the calf out under a pine tree.

I noticed that too, it seems like every time a low pressure system moves through one of the girls feel obligated to have a calf. I have been giving them motivational speeches about having them during daylight hours, on pretty days, and on my off days from work, but it's not working yet.

I think they do it just to p@ss us off.
You can have a beautiful week of nice weather and five girls ready to pop any minute and they wait until the temperature dips and the snow starts falling. It is a bonus for them if they can do it (calve) when the wind is horrendous also. :roll:

all cows an heifers love to calve when the weather changes.they dont think nothing about calving in the cold while its raining an snowing.an some cows just hate calving/being in the barn at all.i bet they are cute snowey babies.
