Laredo Bermudagrass?

Have any of you guys ever heard of Laredo Bermudagrass?
We have a strip of sandy ground next to the river that we
need to reseed. We have thought of trying some bermuda-
grass there. Our supplier only has Laredo brand seed.
Has anyone here ever tried it?

Why is that the only seed your supplier has? If it is because the laredo is what everyone has already pick over and no one wanted it, that might tell you something right there.

or it could be the only one the retailer has been offered.

Or the only one accepted by the buyer.

One cannot assume that the retailer has actual experience with every product that the outlet sells.

I do not have experience with Laredo but have never seen it offered in our area. Pennington and Johnson are the two companies that have most of the seeded bermudagrass business in our part of the world. Most retailers have one brand or the other. the guys in the stores know only as much as the company reps have told them.
