Now if UT will just hire "Da Coach" Mike Ditka....we will have a championship next year....he'll beat the crap out of any of those thug players and straighten out the program. Just having him on the sidelines the Vols will average 300 rush yards per game and 400 passing yards. They will score 50+ per game while only allowing 3. :cboy: :D

Will I don't think much of him either, USC is a huge program for a new "star" like Kiffin and the fact that he jumped ship after one season doesn't do much for me either.... I'm sure it was all about $$$ and fame.... you know rubbing elbows with the Hollywood crowd and coaching a national football giant. You mentioned be able to handle the thugs, USC has got some real trouble headed their way with the NCAA, they are currently being investagated for recruiting violations going back to Reggie Bush. USC has another problem, I can't recall the players name but a booster gave "his girlfriend " a new escalade which he drove as if it was his. So yes the NCAA sharks are circling. As a Pac 10 guy, I don't think it's a good move, he has no disipline or control of his players and now he's in L.A. which is not the city of angels.

Although it may be a good move for my Ducks! :D

He sure is leaving us in a bind. We've already lost several top recruits, and will probably lose more. Kiffin never seemed to me like he really wanted to be a part of Tennessee, or that he really cared about our program's history, so good riddance. We need someone that really wants to be here, and isn't just using us as a stepping stone to get a job somewhere else. For someone with a 12-21 coaching record, he sure thinks high of himself. Our program has slipped some over the past few years, but I know we'll be back as a powerhouse soon. It looked like we were on the right track, but it's back to the drawing board I reckon. Alan, I can guarantee Oregon will have a lot of folks on Rocky Top pulling for em next year when they play USC.

Heard on the new last night that USC purposed sanctions for themselves for all the violations with recruiting and player gifts. They purposed no BCS bowl appearance next year along with losing 6 scholarships for the next year. It took both the Pac 10 and NCAA just a few minutes to come back and say no. Kiffin is coming into a real headache.

Also saw on the news last night the Tenn fans are not happy to the point of a bit of a riot. I just don't understand what 7 and 6 first year coach is going to do for a national powerhouse like USC. Kiffen does have ties going back to USC, but he may just be the fall guy for Pete Carrol's crowd.

Or how about this little nugget? Montario Hardestry was pulled over in Oak Ridge several months ago with a BUTTLOAD of marijuana in his car. After a brief stop and a few phone calls, he was allowed to go on his way, and no citations were issued or charges filed.

Oh now I see how he will fit into the USC program  The DUCKS play USC in LA next season, looks good for the DUCKS!

Go Ducks!
