Hello - I'm new to this website and would like some advice on how to lease land for cattle grazing. I own +/-200 acres of property outside of Jacksonville, FL. Currently, the primary income generator is timber but i would be interested in leasing out the land to a cattle operator in an effort to maximize my profits and avoid absentee landownership. the property is heavily wooded and the existing fence is weak in some areas. i'm guessing that i would need to clear the land and repair the fence for starters, but would it be necessary to provide equipment, build a barn and provide suitable housing to solicit potential operators?? I'm just starting to collect information so any advice on the matter would be helpful. Many thanx.
