Let me start by saying I am not anti-gun. I'm pro-knife. Consider the merits of a knife.
Substituting knives for guns would promote physical fitness. You have to be able to catch up
with someone before you can stab them, which in turn would inspire a nation of runners.
Plus knives don't ricochet and seldom are people killed while cleaning their knives.

Of course I support the 2nd amendment and I believe it means exactly what it says.
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state the right of the people
to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

15 yr olds are not part of a well regulated militia.
Gang members are not part of a well regulated militia necessary to the security of a free state.
Responsible gun owning citizens must be held accountable for care, custody and control of their
guns so as not to endanger the security of fellow citizens of our free state.

Cars are more dangerous than guns, but like car vin numbers registered to hold licensed car owners
responsible, guns should be registered to hold owners responsible and possession of a gun with
registration number altered or removed an automatic penalty... perhaps in some cases even an
automatic felony.

An altered or removed number has been a felony for years and years.
Drugs kills more people than guns, are you going to register the drugs also. Oh wait, they are already and it's the illegal use.
If people do wrong punish them harshly like in the old days instead of giving them a time out.

Drugs are not registered... at best they are prescribed.

It's unconscionable when a gun owner allows a mentally unstable family member access to
their guns like in Sandy Hook. Gun owners need to be held accountable for securing their guns.

p.s.
I'm embarrassed to say I have a cousin who was a deputy that failed to secure his revolver in a
child proof manner and his 4 yr old son shot a hole in their kitchen wall. Luckily it wasn't worse.

I have an idea. Instead of registering guns and all the issues that might cause. Why don't we just outlaw murder and give it a stiff penalty.
By the way registering guns was the first step the Nazi took. After all guns were registered it made confiscation easier. And once the guns were confiscated nobody could stand up against them while they slaughtered millions.

Quick question, not including military combat, has anyone on here
A: shot someone or
B: pulled a gun on someone?

I came very close to pulling a gun on someone once and think back in horror if it had gone the wrong way what my life would be like now. All for something that had nothing to do with me.

You're so full of shyt your eyes are brown. But I wouldn't expect anything less from someone who lives in a state that has muslim representatives and a huge muslim population. Hope one of them doesn't come to your house with his big "knife". I hear they love to remove the head of imbiciles.
