Once you have the Klein established, in my opinion, you will be happy with it. We are in Lavaca county, TX and have 3 hay fields with Klein grass put in more than 20 years ago. We manage those just like any other hay field in regards to fertilizer & weed spray. Only difference is we let the Klein seed out and the seeds start to drop before we cut it. Have never disked the fields except where the hogs tore them up. Those areas got disked and reseeded. Yields have remained remarkably consistant with ample rainfall.
