My BA bull is going to town. He walked over to me this week while I was working a calf and did another paw, shake, snot demo to show who is the biggest.

Lots and lots of guys are trying to sell bulls locally, most in the $1500 to $1750 asking price range, but I am tempted to AI the heifers and pay a bit more a sight unseen Pharo bull.

Have you purchased one this way, and what kind of value did you get in the end?

Never bought a bull from him but did buy several cows sight unseen and am extremely pleased.
I have a very close friend who has used his bulls for more than ten years and is absolutely sold on them.
Especially when wintering out in very tough country. They are basically OCC bred. Might also want to check on Monte Howrey SD. Much the same cattle but maybe more reasonable.

Steve-Heres a link to a list of folks now calling themselves THE BREEDERS' GROUP that raise much the same maternal, higher efficiency Wye, Shoshone, Emulation-Emulous, Rito, Juanada, OCC bloodlines that make up much of the Pharo cattle...I've seen cattle from several of these breeders- and bought some from Cole Creek Ranch and Whitney Creek Ranch and have been very pleased...

And it appears there may be some much closer to you than PCC is...Might be worth taking a look at some...

Another closer to you might be GENETIC RESOURCES, LLC :: Steve & Kim Viker 507.765.9842 :: Lanesboro, MN ... They have much the same breeding perspective- and last I knew owned OCC Kanga 887...

Take a look at Kanga:
