Our farm fest is having fitting, trimming, handling and showmanship demonstrations, put on by Kirk Stierwalt. It is over a 2 hour drive for me, is he worth the drive to go see?
 
Kirk is the best because he cares about the Kids. Anybody can learn to be a great fitter, but not many are interested in anything other than their egos.
 
Well, you guys were right. I attended the 3 hour demo, and stayed to ask questions, the man is extremely patient, and just amazing. You can tell his first priority is helping the student. I will be looking for one of his full classes to attend in the near future.

Kirk is a good guy. If you come away and didn't learn anything, It was your own fault.

:( Neither of my girls ever had the chance to attend one of Kirk's camps, but better yet, we all worked side-by-side at many shows. No matter how busy he got at a show, Kirk is so hospitable that he was always instructing those around him. He even paid us the ultimate compliment at a show in Nocona, Tx when he told my younger daughter right before she entered the ring, "she's the best heifer here, and you have her looking fantastic today". She won Supreme!
