I've been hearing alot about Kinky Freeman lately and was wondering how many members from Texas planned on voting for him as governor?

I am just starting to look into the candidates. Don't really know much about Kinky. But heard him on the radio doing an interview, and right now he is the one to beat for me personally. That could very well change though once I look into each candidate a lil more closely.

Bugman may have moved back east, but it's not keeping his party from trying to do the old redistricting trick again. :(

The guy's a novelty only. I think a vote for him will be more a vote against one of the others. I've never heard him say anything of substance on political matters.

Look at cover of current issue of Texas Monthly.....MHO...very low class and unprofessional.

I think that he's just trying to get the attention of the voters of this state. He isn't running against any of the other candidates as much as he is running against apathy. Something like 70% of registered voters here won't vote in state elections. His campaign manager is the same guy that got Jesse Ventura elected.

For what it is worth, I think that he has some good ideas, albeit, they are presented in ways that will offend some folks. I'd rather see him than Rick Perry, again. How can it be any worse?

Exactly my way of thinking! I wasn't impressed when I heard the reports of the governor using those words when he thought the microphone was turned off. Sure not impresed with Kinky openly tossing around the expression for innocent ears to hear and see on the front page off Texas Monthly!

Don't care for the status quo and all the proposed toll roads being built and run by overseas companies etc., we'd be in a heck of a fix with Kinky as governor, don't care for the "grandma", don't know much yet about Bell. Seems like Texas is gettin herself in a big mess!

Where are all the normal people?

It's a publicity stunt. Anybody who hasn't heard of him before certainly will now. He will most likely succeed only in splitting the conservative vote even further.
