we had a rocky pasture to "sled" in. needless to say, our butts were a solid bruise by the time we gave up

That looks like fun...we've had "snowball" fights, with no snow. We use cowpatties! My brother got one in his mouth once, and it's really bad when a not-so-old one comes sailing your way!
