TC, I can weld and I can collect "junk" to make stuff with, but I do not have the talent to make the junk look like something! That's an artistic gift way beyond normal. To take something from a scrap pile and see in your mind what it could be is a gift from God.

There's a fellow not far from me who's got a "Museum" of stuff he's built out of scrap, each with some Mark Twain-ish quote underneath it (death, taxes, etc).. the top beam of his entrance gate is a 30 foot long double barreled shotgun, he's made several scale model Harleys (2x, 3x and 4x scale models!)

There's a guy in Wichita that makes incredible sculptures out of bumpers. This horse was outside the bank I worked at downtown. I like to think I'm pretty crafty but D2cat, agree that kind of talent is God-given.
