and not being political here even though it does pertain to politics but I've been out of pocket lately and haven't seen any news so I'm out of the loop so to speak. What I was wondering is did Florida ever finish voting? If so, did they ever get around to counting the votes or are they still working on it? Not that it really matters. I was just wondering is all.

According to the news a little while ago obama won there
 
I figured he would. I really think Florida needs to do some work on their voting system. That's got to be plum embarrassing when other states get started hours later than Florida and can have everything tallied and correctly counted while Florida scratches its head in confusion. Just think what would have happened had Florida been the key deciding state. It could have been a real mess. Seems like they could have used the fine money they generated when they fined people bringing aid to Katrina vicitims to purchase some suitable voting machines like Georgia invested in. Ours seems to work pretty well and they seem to be tamperproof to boot.
