I went to check these out while I was in the area they rent and sale equipment
I sure want one of those forestry mulchers bad but my wallet says not anytime soon... However that bushhog you can rent and I may rent it when I have a need and try that sucker out.

Most work that I do I use a dozer and track loader but I don't think I could keep it busy enough to pay for itself though. The rep told me just the forestry head alone was around 40K without the proper skid steer you need to run it

There is a place in Knoxville that rents out the skid steer and mulching head for $2200 a week. I have been wanting to get it for a week when I have that much spare vacation and money. There was a contract crew that had a larger head mounted on a 963 cat track loader that came through grinding out the TVA ROW a couple years ago. The guy took out 120 ft of overgrown fence line for me. In 15 min it went from dilapidated barbwire fence and wild cherry trees 10 inches across to clean ground with mulch smaller than your fist. The operator said it used 200 gallons of fuel a day if it was ran hard. :shock:

How about $11 and a coke and a piece of cheese for dinner? All I ever got for loading square bales for my grandpa all day was the coke and cheese, so $11 to ride in a cab piece skid steer with A/c on seems more than fair. :lol2:
