another day, have new calves to check somewhere.

kids of grandkids seem to be out of school for the summer.

others have vacations, trips, etc. many decisions to make on what they want to do.

i always have cows to look at somewhere, learning to stay in the shade more than before.

anything else to remember? yes, remember those who don't have those decisions to make because they are no longer here. they decided there was a higher calling for them to serve their country and paid a price.

even if you did not personally know anyone of these, just take a few minutes to stop and remember. remember what they gave for all of us. remember.

The one and only time I have been on the east coast I was a chaperone for a bunch of high school kids. That was in 2003. We spent a day in Washington DC. Walked down the Vietnam Wall. Names of a couple guys I graduated with. Another who was a neighbor that his little sister went to school with me. I was the adult with these HS students. Holding it together was one of the hardest things I have ever done.
