I'm in a bit of a pickle.
I bought some paint at an auto store back in November, just before Thanksgiving to get my car painted. The guy who is restoring my car was going to pick it up from the store. I see the guy about every other week. Well with the holidays I did not see him until Monday. He askes me if I brought in the other gallon of paint.
What?
He had gone to the store to pick up the paint and they only gave him one gallon. I bought two gallons. The guy at the store told him that I had the other gallon. I had left before they even mixed it. Now that I find this out I go to the store to find out what had happened there.
I get the manager from h*ll. I tell him what I know and he is talking down to me and is rude. I call the guy who picked up the paint on my cell phone, have to wait for the manager to get off his phone, hand him mine and they start talking, suddenly he throws my phone on the counter at me. He then starts talking really loudly about the two of us trying to steal a gallon of paint from him, in front of other customers. Now I am :devil2: .
He calls the headquarters and they tell him to give me the gallon, well he doesn't stop bad mouthing both of us. That's it. I tell him I am going to pay for this gallon and that was it because nobody like him was going to call me a thief, because I have an honest reputation.
I did end up paying half price for it. I had to get out before I threw something at him.
I have contacted the better business buerau and reported him.
Husband wants to go in and demand the money back that i paid for this other gallon.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
yes I trust the guy restoring my car, because if I didn't he wouldn't have it. I have known him for a couple of years now. He was sick with West Nile and home in bed, that is why I did not see him sooner. Yes his wife confirmed it.
