Some days, I just want to look at the pictures and not read a thing. I hope you feel the same way today.

We took the boar to a buying station. They paid $200 for him. They siad they normally sell to a processing plant for shipment to Europe, but this guy will be worth $500- $1000 at a hunting ranch. So, he most likely was vaccinated and neutered and released on a hunting ranch. Neutering and vaccinations are required to release wild hogs in Texas.

I would have eaten him, but we catch so many less than 100 pounds that taste pretty dern good.

The rainbow pictures were taken last October. Last year we got record rainfall all year. My pastures are still green, though. Central Texas gets lots of rain - normally. This summer's drought is amazing. We had maybe 3 inches in 4 months. .

Great pics! Wow..Whats it like to have flat pastures???? :cboy:

Really nice! Actually, we live on a small hill - it rises about 250 feet in elevation. We even have terraces to capture the runoff and delay rain from leaving the soil.

The pot of gold? It's the land, man.
