We've been working on moving our fall-calving cows into our spring-calving group, just having one group ((spring.)
This cow had an October calf in 2008, a September calf in 2009, an August calf in 2010, and a July calf in 2011. She had a 73# heifer calf early this morning.

She has enough growth, but more importantly are the other attributes she contributes to our herd. Feet, disposition, teat/udder quality, strength of top and fullness of quarter to name some.
 
honestly if atleast weans 45% of its body weight that fine for me but if you many like that i MAY someday but a bull from you

Her last four calves have been sired by Boaz (1 bull and 3 heifers.)
We used her Boaz sired son on a few females before we sold him to another Red Angus breeder. We hold over our heifers born in July, August and other fallborn heifers to breed in the spring group. Holding over the fall born heifers is the cheapest way to convert the fall herd into the spring herd.

This is a picture of the bill calf we got when we bred the R120 cow (first picture on this thread) to Boaz T71.
His registered name is Steadfast Boaz W93.

This is our last fall calving cow to calve that we are "jumping up."
She had a 74# bull calf Friday, June 22nd. Left year she had a heifer on August 5th.
Will have to perent verify the calf as it is either sired by HXC Conquest or Steadfast Boaz T71.
I thought I AI'ed her a little too long past standing heat so I just put her in with Boaz T71 so he could get her bred on her next cycle. She either conceived AI or Boaz T71 took care if it shortly after they were put together.
Either way we are pleased she calved as soon as she did.
