Just heard that he's stopping treatment. I always thought he was a tough man, and a decent politician willing to work with others to get the job done. I hope his final days are filled with family and pain free.

The good news is someone will be appointed after his death to go back to work for the US of A. I was perplexed why McCain didn't give his spot up when he couldn't do the job. It's looking better for judge Cavanaugh to get appointed.

I've felt the same way, and I feel that if you're running for office other than your current role you should step down. How much attention can you give to the job at hand when you're constantly schmoozing and stumping along the trail?

I think you might be reading more into that than is there. He was often wandering alone out in the weeds. However unproductive that was - and it was, we saw that during his run for president with the nitwit from Alaska - my only comment is that he was not one of the lemmings following the Pied Piper.

I agree with that. I just looked at a YouTube of him being loaded on a ship after his prison term was over. He didn't look fat in that video. He appears to be a broken man in that video.

He was a POW and is to be honored for that and his military service.
But that does not excuse his later actions.
As was often said about him--he was a loose cannon on deck. Unpredictable and you never could know which side of the bed he was going to get up on.
Could never really tell what or who he was for or against.
