John Deere: Quik-Knect PTO Attachment System

For those of you that went to the National Farm Show, did you see this new system and what were your thoughts? Supposedly works with most 540 pto shafts and tractors. I was curious about what you thought or if anyone knew what the cost was?

Price for the part that attaches to existing PTO shaft $134.79. Part for the implement that replaces existing yoke/u-joint $334.79. So every implement you use another $334... I could see it helping some with the alignment, but you still have to connect.

Seems pretty pointless. Another wear point between the two pieces of equipment. But JD is an expert at pointless and branding, so I am sure it will be a massive success.

It looks like you don't have to line any splines up so that would be nice. Especially for those that don't have the labor for jobs such as chopping corn silage where you are hooking up a pto shaft 50 times or more per day. But for things you hook up once and leave them on until the job is finished, probably not worth it.
