My 3 point is stuck in the up position. I have pulled the filters, bled the lines and nothing seems to help. Any one have other suggestions besides get rid of the tractor.
 
Are you aware of a "rate of drop" adjustment that controls the speed at which the lift arms decend? Usually located on the rockshaft housing (a knob between hour feet up against the seat). Because of its location, I quite often find mine closed.
 
Thanks for the reply. I have tried that also with no results. I have also put pressure down on the arms thinking that might free them up. no luck
 
Hello. What happen before it " broke?" Can you lock the arms and remove the ram ? If so just unscrew it and see what's going on.........if not you have a control issue and that could be expensive.
 
The 3 point was working but I havn't used it in awhile. Now it is stuck. There is no outside ram on this tractor. everything is ecased and I don't know whats on the inside. The manual is written in German since this is a European tractor and is very difficult to comprehend. I am afraid I will have to bite the bullett and take to the dealer for repairs. I was just trying to save a few bucks first.

I thought that also about my pump but my loader and hydraulic outlets are working fine.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

I did pull the rate of drop control out and it seems there is nothing that it fits into. looks like just a fancy plug to me.

:???: Now I'm confused. Should be a knob. #1 in the drawing.

Turns, doesn't pull out.

Another thing to look for is a broken or bending linkage. Had that to happen on my 2350.
 
I have everything but the knob and it unscrews out of the casing. do you know what or of it pushes on anything because I cannot see or feel anything in there.
 
OK, looks like their are two styles. I'm guessing one has a cab and the other is open-air. Does yours look similar to this where 10 would be the adjusting screw?

I don't know the consequences of having taken it all the way out. My manual for a 2955 says not unscrew it more than 1 round.

I'll do a little more looking to see if I can find the guts inside.

Thanks for the information. This is a cab tractor. The first drawing looks like what I have. I am thinking that a check valve or something that is frozen. I see in the drawing that there is some sort of spring loaded cartrage on the side of the case. I will go to the JD website. I would have thought that it would have leaked down by opening the hydraulic line but it did not. I have a pull type mower that I can use but it is not as handy as a tthree point.
