Neighbors 4020 broke down and he was bailing round bales 6x6 2000 bales with his 2510 and man was that thing smoking everytime he was baling uphill. He had about 30 acres he had to bail. How long do you think that tractor will be able to do that before something breaks? He is a older guy and I don't want him to be tractor less. I am considering to go bale his hay for him that he didnt finish if you guys think his tractor may crap out under all that load.

Well i don't know if it will crap out but i would not want to head down much of a hill on that tractor with a 6x6. i have a friend that runs a 5x5 over some fairly steep ground with a gas 5000 ford wich is a little bigger and a little smaller baler than you are talking about but it works fine. but if i was you and you have the time i would probaly go bale the hay just to help the guy and no i would say that it is not real good on that tractor

Yea I will stop by in the morning and ask if he wants me to help him out. I almost hate to ask because he may be offended like im putting his equipment down. But I will ask anyway.

Yea i can understand offending someone but if his regular baler tractor is down he might see where you are coming from but in most cases when i try to help someone like this they won't let me anyway but atleast you have offered.

This is true.. We shall see i will let you know what he says tomorrow. I hate to see a older person struggle doing something hes 75 and I know hes taking a beating on that tractor.

At 75 yrs old, I kinda figured he would think he had it under control.. probably been in that situation before, and knew what he was doing.

Yea, He may have had to do that before but thats just as cabo said ant pulling an elephant but we shall see if it works out. I haven't went by to see how well hes doing hope hes ok. I always try to help people out when I can. When I get that age I will probably be the same way.
