I cooked up the ribs from the swamp heifer I harvested out of The Wooly Swamp on Jogeephus's property. A nice hand rub followed by 5 hours in the oven and then finished on the grill with a triple basting of Rufus Teague BBQ sauce. Now this was some good eatin' with a sweet tater and a green bean salad.

Man that looks good! Of course it ought to be tender being you shot it seven miles from the truck and that drag was sure to make the meat tender. Hoss, you can vouch for this, anyone considering buying one of those wildlife tow harnesses for dragging animals out of the woods - Don't do it! Total waste of money. Rope broke. Metal rings broke. Don't know if it was the size of the hog or the wear and tear of the seven mile drag but the things are a total waste of money. I still don't know why you didn't shoot one of those nice suckling pigs. :???: Too small a target? :hide:

The harness concept was good but they put a shoestring in the package to tie the animal to the harness. It worked fine once I found that piece of real rope in the back of your truck.

Now 7 miles wasn't so bad.......I had to carry the rifle while you drug the hog. That rifle was darn heavy. I don't know why you kept complaining. You got to float it in 18" of water for at least 50 yards of that 7 miles. :lol2:

Those little ones were sittin still. You know I don't find it sportin to shoot at a stationary target. That big ones was running flat out at 900 yards through the swamp, in the brush and juking like a rabbit. That was more sportin for off-hand shooting

As long as you didn't mention the softball sized hail you had to contend with then I don't think that would happen.
