JD 5210 stuck in park

All,

I went out this morning to set hay out and my tractor would not shift out of park. It was working fine last night and the clutch seemed to be fine. I tried it this afternoon and had no problem. My gut tells me it's due to the cold weather. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks.

It's either the linkage was out of scew which can be from freezing, or the parking fork was locked up. How many hours on it?

2000 hours. It's in fantastic shape. Always barn kept. First issue I've had with it.

Since it was working correctly after the weather warmed up it almost has to be weather related. Spray some penetrating oil around the gear shifter and were it goes in the trans. Also I would change the transmission oil ASAP and put fresh Deere Hy-Gard in. I think you tractor holds 11 gallons.
