JBS Has Received $60m+ from 'Farmer' Trade Aid

I know this has been discussed before, but its really a crying shame.

And now, as I'm sure we're all going to be hearing more about soon, JBS has received even more of the "farmer" trade aid bailout money that originally thought -- to the tune of more than $60,000,000 (yes that's 60 million!). Wtf?


I know the corporate talking points will be "oh these government purchases help take excess supply off the market blah blah blah," but that really makes no sense for pork products, or any meat for that matter. Meat's perishable. I can at least understand the rationale if they wanted to purchase a ton of soybeans, where carryover stocks are a good indicator of next year's market price.

Just what a mess, and you couldn't have picked a more corrupt company to funnel taxpayer dollars into. :mad:
