Ivomec spill, will I live?

Pulled a dumb one this weekend, trying to figure out how to use one of them fancy worming guns and I had a major spill of ivomec pour one all over my hands and arm.

Will I be dying soon? O should I expect some flushing of worms in my stool real soon? :lol:

I hope it does not help me to put on some pounds, I can not afford to gain any more :(

You can attend my funeral before going to your own. I did that 4 or 5 years ago. Even got it in my mouth and eyes. Other than having red irritated eyes for a day or so there were no bad effects. I did notice I gained weight easier afterwards.

Almost every time I use pour on wormer I get it on my hands. Hasn't killed me yet. I have put on a little weight, I don't know if it's from the wormer or my quitting smoking or my love for barley and hops. :)

That's happened to me a couple of times, too, with no ill effects.

Isn't it amazing what we expose ourselves to? I think I get dewormed and debugged as often as the cows, (but I always try to wear gloves and wash hands quickly).

And the horses? Whoever came up with the intranasal strangles vaccine was a nutcase! Up it goes into the nostril: out it comes with force and the familar splatter hits you no matter where you try to hide! :P

ive heard if you get the pour on. on your skin you can taste it shortly after. i had a case of worm myself a few year's ago from ropin calves the doctor said must of transfered them on my piggin string when practicing tying down

I've never tasted it but have wormed myself a few times. Never a large amount though.

So, did you break out the Ivomec or did you get something from the Dr.?

doctor gave me something plus a antibotic. so did my aunt some black walnut :?

The only thing I can tell you is to never keep it inside the truck. I spilled some last year on the carpet. Shampooed it, and now that the heat is comming on I am thinking about preasure washing it. I have no clue what it is doing to my lungs but the smell is worse than ----. The carpet is super saturated with the stuff, and I now ride everywhere with the windows open. I am about ready to rip it out.

I can difinitely associate with that horse that blew it back out. I don't blame him a bit.

The bullterrier, Gertjie, had a earinfection and the vet gave him eardrops that needed to be put in twice a day for a week, don't think the eardrops stayed in long enough to even start working, needless to say I know now what second hand eardrops taste like. The lesson, never shout instructions when letting the dog go after treating his ears.

Never had fire ants, but from what I hear about them from you guys, I propably should stick with the tics :lol:

Very wise decision, aplus! :lol: :lol: The fireants we have are bad enough, I sure wouldn't want to have to deal with the ones from Texas! :shock:
