There is yet another conspiracy running rampant on the Cattle Today boards, involving mrs. cfpinz and two other members who will remain anonymous. (But their usernames rhyme with leafy and fun.) Seems these two characters have influeced my poor wife into a new purchase:

I just hope the wind doesn't get up, Dumbo might get blown away.

#75 per your recommendation. We both wanted #53 (RWF) but it went for $5600. She bid on a few others but only wound up with this pair. Whew. There was one dun speckled cow with a black heifer calf I wish she would have bought but she didn't. All the dark reds she had picked out went out of her price range.

yeah i know which dun speckled cow with the black heifer you are talking about. Thats why i didnt recommend the red white face--she was my favorite--but i knew shed be out of your price range. Though, now that i see your fences i'm not so sure...
Yall done good tho.

Aww Dumbo is a cutie  I hope it doesn't take it's name seriously, could cost you a fortune in peanuts
Nice looking pair.

Thanks for the comments, wife will be proud. Dumbo is cool. The heifers in the pen beside her don't know what to make of her. The old cow is laid back.

B - No Sparticus that I can find. I don't have a clue about beefmaster bloodlines but the only names I see that ring a bell are King Cotton and Sandman, they were in quite a few of the animals. Calf's father was gorgeous. I noticed a lot of the cows I liked had Painted Tiger in their blood, is that a big-name bull?

And the fences, that's the nicest fence on the place, not quite two years old yet. I still haven't forgot about the challenge. I'll see what I can do.

I know which ones you were talking about but I don't know which numbers they were, the catalog has no pics. If you know their #'s I wrote everything down. No real pattern as far as prices went, there was a black pair that sold for $900 and a bred cow for $4000. And the bred heifers varied from $1100 up to 4 grand. It was something for everyone there. Well, except me of course.

Wife would like to purchase semen rights on Demitrius. That is, if he's still alive.
