My middle joint on my trigger finger has started hurting for no known reason. Hurts to bend it and hurts when I squeeze it. I'm only 37 could this be arthritus?

Went to the doctor the otherday and he put on a glove and tried to umm palpate me :stop: starting talking about prostarate exam.
I am not liking getting old.

Give it a few weeks and it will get better. And get a new doctor. No one has touched my butthole in 34 years and I wouldn't let someone touch it because my finger hurt.

Hey, that is the only postive way to check for prostate cancer. In us old folks the cancer grows very slow. At your age it is pretty agressive. A good idea to have it checked every three years.

Doc: So what is the problem?

redneck: My finger hurts for no reason.

Doc: Hmmm. I better check your butthole. Drop your pants and bend over.

redneck: You already did this when I had a sprained ankle.

Doc: Does your ankle hurt?

redneck: You have a point.

Don't get serious on me

If you can use that same finger to execute your own prostate exams the moist heat will probably help the Athritis. Just kiddin don't take this seriously.

Yes, it probably is. Every finger and my wrist on my right hand are giving me fits today. Feels like they are sprained. I was shelling peas last night and it just killed me. Gripping the steering wheel while driving is another one. I go to pick something up and my fingers can't quite grasp. I hate it.

Now, as for the other finger thing... My husband said his doctor said not to worry, he has short fingers.

If I go to a doctor about my fingers, you can bet it's won't be a gynocologist.

Just make sure when the doc is giving you the finger wave that he doesn;t have both hands on your shoulders.

Years ago, my husband worked at a tire plant in Ardmore OK. The doctor who did the company physicals was said to, well, enjoy doing the exams a little more than he should have. Everyone knew it ahead of time but most folks wanted the jobs so bad they were willing to put up with the humiliation of it to get on there. Steve can tell it better than I can, but you get the point. :help:

Does it sort of snap into place when you bend it then snap again when you extend it again? May just be what my doctor called "Trigger Finger". A shot of cortizone cured mine.....well it moved it to the same finger on the other hand anyway.

I'll bet the last time you went to the Doctor was along time ago...The doc probably figured it would be his only chance to remind you to get a prostate exam. You aren't too young to get arthritis and you aren't too young to get this very common cancer. If you think your manhood is at risk by having the exam...wait till you have your prostate removed.

Come on. He's 37 and his finger hurts. No wonder everyones health insurance is going up.

http://menshealth.about.com/od/prostate ... e_poll.htm

"At some point most men will either be offered a prostate examination as part of general health screening, or, it will be advised because of their age (usually 50+) or some problem relating to difficulty in passing urine."

fourstates, you may want to sue your doctor for violating you all these years.

Went to the doctor because I couldnt pee. He gave me some flomax and it seems to help.
My finger started hurting about a week later but I dont think the two problems are related.
