just saw on the futures where sept corn is at 5.04. quite a ways from the 7+ bucks a few weeks ago.

sure am glad it has backed down, but in my very limited knowledge of things, it seems to me like it had to.

Yep but traders are probably trading off the Dec. board right now....Turned out the flood damage up in the corn belt states was not as great as originally thought and about a million additonal acres were planted. Production estimates were also upgraded this week by almost 7 bushels per acre.
 
i havent looked at the corm prices this week but last week corn was $7.04/100 or bu.it didnt say wich it was.but i knew the price had to go bust sooner or later.
 
You can bet that the farmers are not going to get rich off of corn. Government and ADM are not going to let them make much money period.

Everyone planted all the corn they could, expecting the high $$$, but as always, the farmer is going to get the short end of the stick.
