Aaron y'all aren't the problem, and Canadian beef will get a lift if any of this BS sticks. Our friends down south can't compete with the quality of our beef and they know it. A label reading "a product of Canada" has a lot better sound to it than a
"a product of Mexico" "a product of Brazil" or "a product of Argentina" does.
 
I once saw an 'organic' package of beef labeled "product of Uruguay, Australia, Canada, United States and Mexico" (or similar, it was a long list and Uruguay was in there) and thought "how can anyone in their right mind believe this is actually organic?"

The beef from Uruguay was probably the best meat in the batch. They have some very good cattle down there and an awesome tracking and reporting system on all of it.

I understand that. Just laying out the facts. I get ticked with people up here, largely beef leaders and bureaucrats that say Canada-US beef is all the same, just to protect their financial interest. I say the US is a country of their own and has every right to promote their own industry, above all others. If the majority in your country are fine with a Canada-US label, great. If the majority are against it, I'll say that is fine as well.
