Does any one have an Idea what a well and center pivot set up cost? I dont even know if we have an aquifer,or if so how deep.
I am thinking might be the way to go.Might be cheaper in long run . To my knowledge there are no wells in my area. South central Texas.

Around here, well digging is up to about $20 a foot for a well just for household use. I expect that a well for irrigation would be quite a bit more. This is just for the digging and casing, pumps and pressure tanks, etc. are extras. Household wells in the area seem to be mostly around 400'.

Don't know exactly where you are but I suspect you're in the Gulf Coast Aquifer.

I priced an irrigation system a few years ago and determined that $100K was a little too steep for me. And what I needed wasn't all that big nor did I have a great distance to run the pipe. Cost is going to depend, depend, depend ....
