Who ever would have thought that a cell phone would get waterlogged from soaking in the ocean for a half hour. Pretty obvious that cfpinz didn;t think it would

Manufacturer claimed it was waterproof! Reckon it was the salt that did it in. Everything works fine on it except the screen, it's kind of upside down and backwards to read. Reckon it'd be great if you were standing on your head and dyslexic!

cfpinz, i recently bought one of the waterproof, dustproof, drop proof, idiot droping it proof phones. What brand is yours? I figured I had better buy insurance for mine since It is suppose to be indestructable.

If you have not tried it do a search on using rice to dry out the phone. It works. My phone took a dive into the cattle water tank. The rice trick worked and I am still using the phone.

This one is a Casio g'zone boulder, had it for 2 years and it's been dropped on asphalt, soaked pretty good and laid on by me under vehicles so many times I can't remember. I like it so much I just bought a used one off ebay to replace it with, the newer models feel cheaper than the one I dunked. The customer service rep at Verizon said that if I had insurance it would still cost 50 bucks to get it replaced - payed less than that for the one off ebay.

Put it in a bag of rice for 2 days, display still doesn't work and I still can't speak Jap.
