immobilizers

I was wondering if there was a cheaper immobilizer than the 800.00 RAU. I have only seen one other and it runs about 200.00. I'm getti'n old and tired of the joy of vaccinating and treating my cows in the headgate when they don't seem to appreciate what I'm doing for them! Have you guys tried one of these immobilizers?

Our vet has an immobilizer and we love it. He uses it when we work all our cows and he has to pull blood. We just zip them cows right on through there and it is much easier than when we didn't use it. Although we didn't buy it, I think we would have if the vet didnt have one. I don't know about any besides the RAU so I can't help you there.

We have an RAU and love it. Use it only when we feel it is really necessary, like when needing to trim some feet; castrating jumpers, cattle that swing their necks when you try to tattoo or ear tag, etc.

Works great!!!

They do work great, although we've never used one for working cattle.. but they are great for dehorning and branding.
