I'm to old for this foolishness

I would suggest you go south, but since you are already in Texas I guess there is not to much hope for you. :P :P

I'm excited here because we are out of our deep freeze! On Tuesday we were having record breaking cold temperatures for that date. With windchill we were getting down to -42F. Today with windchill it is only going to be a balmy 14F. The cows and I will have a good day. I won't have to quite dress like the Abominable Snowman when I go out.

It's still 70 here today but the cold weather is moving in tonight with a chance of a rain/snow on Friday and Saturday.

It was 80 degrees here yesterday. Now it is 24 with ice and snow. Typical Texas weather.

70 here yesterday. Now 33, raining, and temp dropping pretty fast. Ice already forming on trees and fences. Supposed to get up to an inch of ice and 6-12 inches of snow between now and noon tomorrow. Sure hope they're wrong again.

Only way I want to see ice is in my tea.

35 here now. drizzling and a 25-30 mph wind. Can't get out of but one door on the house. The sliding door off the dining room. (east side) The mud room door faces north.Washing machince would probably end up in the kitchen if I opened it and the front stormdoor faces west with the hinges on the south edge. I went out that way earlier and the dern wind took it away from me. I figured it was broken for sure.Z

Lubbock Texas: 4 inches of snow on the ground 18 degrees when i woke up this morning brrrr.....Texas Tech held class... bad part is these people can't drive when the weather is normal, wonder how many fender benders there were today.

Woke up this AM to 2-3" snow, wind 20-30 mph, 23 deg. F. About noon, heavy blowing snow, blizzard conditions, about 25 deg. F., probably end up with 6-8" by 5 PM this afternoon when this latest front moves out to OK, KS, parts east. Supposed to improve significantly tomorrow and for week or so. I am NOT a winter person...lol. A real B---H out late this AM feeding horses. Got to go out again before 4 PM and knock holes in stock tank ice and give horses some water options. Cattle can survive until tomorrow when it warms up to the 40's.

We've got snow drifts here 2-4' high. Very unusual here for this time of year. Usually don't get this real nasty weather (if snow or ice at all) until late January and into February and early March. Makes cold, windy conditions look nice (not really).

Stay warm everyone!

It's actually nice and "warm" here :D :D --only about -8 C, compared to the conditions we got like Victoria did.

And no need to put on two pairs of longjohns either!
