I've been in the "big city" for the last two weeks (visiting friends), and was missing my babies... so as I was driving along I saw a shorthorn breeder's sign on the road and stopped in to say hi. There we chatted for a while and I got to pet his cows, his cows were happy, and I got my fix of cows for a bit again... Unfortunately he was a really small breeder (under 10 cows) and I didn't really see anything that stood out. he knows a lot of the same people I know, and we traded tales for a while... I always say it's good to meet people.
Then I went and looked at an old Allis Chalmers wheel loader, and he was quite a character... he had propane injection on his semi tractor, which is something I've been wanting to do for some time, but then when he said that wrapping magnets around his fuel lines gave him 5MPG, I drew the line. He also ran frenchfry oil at 3:1 with diesel and never had a problem with it. He had made some really nice train whistles that sounded really great!
