I guess I'm in the same boat with you CowpokeJ. I thought it said red also. I looked at that cow and thought that cow is black and then went up and read it again and thought it said red again. I asked my husband to look at the post(I didn't tell him anything) and he read outloud and he said red angus cow. Then he said that cow isn't red its black. Thats a black cow! After I showed him that we read it wrong we got a good laugh.

Thanks for the pictures Cowgirl, I always enjoy looking at peoples herds.

I'll have to make an excuse for all of us who thought that it read red instead of read reg. Read reg. could mean reg. red, but read reg. means reg. black and not reg. red. The tail of the g on reg. got lost in a limb and made it read red and not reg. black.

This reminds me of a tongue twister. Say this three times:

Cowgirl, you have a nice set of calves.

You asked about the Who Made Who calf having a big head. From the picture it doesn't look overly large. However, your question reminded me of a comment from a ChiAngus breeder I know. He called me a few years ago and mentioned that he had a Who Made Who calf with a large over bite. He said that it appeared that the calf's lower jaw didn't develop completely. He called some other Chi breeders and found out that a some of them also had Who Made Who calves with jaw abnormalities.
 
Sad, really, but I suspect you'll be selling those "nice" (being polite again) calves to some kids as show animals and make a lot more money than you rightfully should.

please elaborate. I honestly do not care what you think. We are not planning to show the bulls. We'll either sell them as feeder steers or sell as bulls to local commercial farmers. We've shown our own calves before and have done very well - haven't won any national shows, but, 4H and fairs yeah.

The 14 yr old cow... looks just like an old cow.. (I got some that old which look the same way)
Your reg angus cow looks like it had a big head in that first pic.. but, it was possibly the angle of the camera.

she's also the one standing beside the hay ring in picture 2. (closest to the calf's butt.
 
Since you wanted some input:
