About 10 the boy showed up for his weekly visit. By 10:30 he was complaining about a headache. Shortly after he attempted to get up and his right leg wouldn't work "right" and was numb.
Told him to get in the car while he could still hobble and his mother and I changed clothes. By 11 pulling out of the drive his side was numb and his arm was starting to go numb. He could still smile and raise both arms but was having trouble processing what I was asking. Bout half way to town his speech was slurred. By the time we hit the emergency entrance he couldn't motivate enough to walk. By 12 he was confused and fussing with the hem of his jeans looking for his wallet. Around 2 while waiting for the cat scan he was mumbling incoheretly and decided he was leaving. 2 shots of something and he settled in. But not for long, in the CT room he decided he had enough and it took 6 guys to hold him down to get him a another shot. They decided to try something a little stronger. That only lasted long enough to get the cat scan done and back to his emergency room where he came undone again. This time it took 7 of us to get an IV in that took the wind outta his sails. The man on the bed was NOT my son. Didn't know or recognize us(ma n pa), his grandmother or aunt. And I've never heard this boy utter a blue word in a womans presence. Tonight we found out he knows most of em.
The Cat scan and urine test show nothing. A spinal tap didn't tell them anything. At 11, I came home to put out hay and water for the cows in the lot.
The Dr.s dont have an answer yet. They say they only see this amount of aggression in brain disorders and druggies. So far they have ruled those out. We are waiting for his turn in the MRI.
Anyway it's been a long day and if you would have the time to mention us in a line... well Thank You

dj, I am so sorry. Consider it done, my friend. If there is anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask.

Kind of makes 99% of the stuff we get so shook up about seem insignificant.

dj,

I know how frightened you are. I will certainly pray for your son...and all of you. I am so sorry this is happening.
