This morning when I climbed on the 4 wheeler to go check on the cows, there were dark clouds moving in. About the time I opened the 1st gate the rain started. I'd almost forgotten what a "joy" it was to check on the cows in the rain.

Thank You Lord for sending the rain.

Watched a long range weather prediction for the Southeastern USA this morning on the Weather Channel. Due to La Nina', we are predicted to be dry through at least March of next year.

If something doesn't happen soon, there will be no cows left around here.

Glad you got some. Just save a little for your southern buddies.

Wish I could send over this rain, we have had today, it started at 5am and has not stopped, from heavy to light shower back to heavy, tonight we are expected get torrential rainfall about 3 inches in a hour, likely to cause localised flooding. according to the weatherman. I pray you get some soon.

Absolutely... we had light rain (a drizzle at best) for about an hour, the precise hour I was out with the cows and I don't think I could have had a bigger smile on my face...

...I'm ready for some winter showers... pretty please with sugar on top. :D

We sure could use some here too. Moved cattle all weekend from a place where two ponds and a spring has gone dry. Now if I can just catch that last heifer.....

It came a couple of showers today for only a short time. but I only had enough in the bottom of rain gauge to tell there was something there. Each shower settled the dust for only a couple of hours.

I believe we are about 25" below normal thru today. The long range forecast calls for the drought to continue till May '08.
