Q. What do you call 700 arrests in an ICE sting?
A. A good start

Based on information thus far developed in the investigation, it appears, based on 2007 fourth quarter payroll reports, that approximately 76 percent of the 968 employees of Agriprocessors were using false or fraudulent social security numbers in connection with their employment.

Don't mean to be negative but I imagine this is just a big PR stunt for ICE. If they want to put a dent in illegals they should ride with me one afternoon and we can gather up hundreds. They can also go by the jail on Sunday morning and pick up a good many here to. I also suspect they will probably fine this company for hiring them even though the illegals had documentation. Taxation thru fines seems to motivate most agencies. I really don't know what is worse, an american that refuses to work thus creating an opening for an illegal or a government official that makes it possible for the illegals to obtain false drivers licenses - including CDL's. I don't know what the solution is. I'm glad someone has finally done what they are paid to do. I just don't understand why ICE will not take custody of illegals caught for DUI and other offenses in our jails.

Edit: A few years ago I needed some help in the fields. I was told about a federal agency in town that could help me. Turns out I knew one of the employees but I had never heard of the agency. Anyhow, she gave me a list of names and they turned out to be good workers. Only problem, I found out later they were all illegal.

Nothing but a stunt....

The illegal situation is not going to get any better until our "leaders" in Washington decide it is to be.

"leaders" - ain't that a joke! :D
