I think we got some snow!

Well, I think we finally got some snow! All schools have been canceled in the area, including the college I work at in Springfield! I went out to heat check cows this morning, and snapped a few shots...
Walking to the barn...

Even the babies look cold!

My son's heifer wanting a scratch! And hubby in the background checking the water to make sure it is not froze over...

And, lastly, the top of the mineral feeder, just to see how much snow is on there!

It is 15 F (5 with the wind chill), and not expected to get much warmer for the next week. We are getting slammed by another storm Sunday evening, so more snow. The news said it has not been this cold in the area for 20 years (expecting negative temps tonight)...

Wow... I am jealous... I would do anything for that to be here at my place especially around xmas time.

We got about 10 inches on the ground over here. I think he found a good spot.

Our predicted 1-3 turned into 5 early this morning and it hasn;t stopped yet. But we didn;t get anything compared to the folks further south and east

He must suffer with me in the COLD tundra ;-) Right now he is outside with the kids, on a new snow board I bought, pulling them around while I suffer inside (can you hear my sarcasm?) keeping the wood stove stocked and making a warm lunch. I have such a tough life :nod: :santa:
