This is my thread for me to hold myself accountable and I know at least one person on here who will hold me accountable to giving up nicotine. In my battle I will post each day promising not to use for that day. If you have something you would like to join in you are more than welcome. It's just a one day commitment I intend to renew each day till I know I have beat my habit.

Today is my third full day without a dip of snuff. Everything is cloudy, I feel like my brains have been sucked out my ear and someone else has invaded my body. I can't concentrate, and forget lots of stuff. Nicotine takes 72 hours to clear your system so I'm hoping tomorrow is better. I promise that no nicotine will enter my body today.

Iso, it's a rough road worth traveling. Especially since you have the young ones. Own it, don't let it own you

Just to clarify are we talking about snuff or the other ?

You are definitely headed in the right direction! I had my own battle with nicotine years ago and beat it, so you have my encouragement.

I now have a battle within me to give up Blue Bell and Little Debbie's. Got back from the doc today and he wanted to put me on insulin, but I begged him to let me give them and beer up and see how that went. I have 3 months to make a marked improvement or else.

One day at a time Slick. Just post that you will have no ice cream or beer of any kind today. You can keep your word for one day right? We'll worry about tomorrow, tomorrow.

From a diabetic walk a 1 1/2 to 2 miles a day that will lower your A1C.
You are going to have to learn not to do pull up's to the table and elbow bend's if you don't want your body part's to rot off. I watched my grandma loose both leg's over it. My BIL is currently in the wound center in Clear Lake for three month's over gangreen in his foot.
You can eat anything you want the key is moderation that is the hard part.

Doc gave me a diet where I'm supposed to eat 5 times a day and showed me how to exercise with some elastic bands, which will reduce my gut. Said that if I do it religiously I'll start dropping some good weight around the fourth week.

Slick, I can tell you from experience it will work. Pack a lunch.box.and eat every 2 hrs and it will fall off. I lost 62 lbs in 6 weeks several years ago.

Did you mean you forgot lots of snuff?

Good for you. Never used tobocco, I did grow it. Don't have any problem with sex, never get any.

I do have problems keeping promises. I told chippie no more sex jokes. That is a little one, she will forgive me.
Sorry chippie. Last one. Promise.

There is some short term insulin like oral medication that a friend of mine was prescribed to help her get ahead of her weight, it was up to her to maintain it. You might ask about it, it helped her get started down. Don't know if it is an option for you or not.
