I miss them already!

We have had our son and family staying with us since Memorial Day weekend. They had to move out of one house before the new place could close and get possession. We have a small house, luckily we also have an RV so we made it work. This meant cooking for 7 people day after day, every time I tried to do laundry somebody already had a load in, seemed like I was stopping at the store for bread or milk every day. With 2 A/C units running, plus two extra frig's and a chest freezer running like mad out in the barn in this heat wave, I hate to think what the next electric bill will look like. But last night they stayed at their new house, they are not here for dinner and now it seems too quiet and empty around here!

But the new place is only a few minutes away so we will see them a lot more often than we did before. I'll get over it.....

Sounds like quite a few "visits" to the new place are in order....I'd say maybe around meal time? :D

My youngest boy and his family are thinking about moving to Denver. The wife is already bawling about it.

Their new place is only 7 minutes away, versus over an hour before. Yes we will be back and forth a lot. They have a few acres at the new place which had been allowed to grow up wild for years, so there is a lot of work to do over there. And, son will come help us with our projects now that they are so close. It is gonna be great. It was just the shock of the sudden silence when they first left.

Moving out of state? I'd be bawling, too.
