I think that it is pretty darn good.... As a kid, I was... And actually I still am... graphically challenged... I would spend hours trying to draw animals... Deer, Fish... Even a Kangaroo...
If, at that time, I would have had a day job... I would have never given it up..
 
My youngest son used to sit around and draw like that, then he started playing video games, then he decided he wanted to do artwork for a video game company. So he finally graduated high school, went to the Art Institute and I couldn't get him to come home. Long story short, he is now somewhere up around Baltimore doing the artwork for video games! Already has one game published with his name on it.

Since you are so good at art, there are many avenues you can take. Find your specialty and go all out for it. Good luck.

Art is a special gift... Not everybody can do it... When I say art, I am also referring to all arts... drawing, painting, sculpting, music.....
I have mentioned my graphical abilities, but I can also talk to music... Our eldest daughter is a musician... I remember her at age 5 pecking at a toy piano trying play some of the tunes that she had heard... Today she has her Masters in Music Education and Music Performance... Accomplished with many instruments from strings to brass. Although she currently lives in Hawaii, we see her almost weekly in special podcasts that she performs.
There was a time when I thought that it would cool if she and I were to play a duet together... So I pick the Cello, since I have always loved its sound... I hired a teacher and took lessons for two years... at which time my teacher provided me with the following evaluation...
"Chuck" she said, "I have enjoyed working with you for the last two years... And I know that you have worked hard... But after two years, you know a lot of notes."
She was right on in her evaluation... I tried hard, but when I played, I played notes... I did not play music... There was no passion in the sounds that I produced...
So when you have a talent, and hopefully supported by your parents, run with it... It's a gift!

Great, My daughter has a masters in art, and teaches at Oregon State. My Wife and I get a lot of cool artwork. 8) 8) :D
 
Thanks...Just Curious, I DO actually have another "arts" talent that I've started since grade 2, and that's piano. I have been playing for over 10 years now, and I'm in my 9th level (highest is 10), but I haven't been able to finish it because of the demand of school, though there are spare times when I can tinkle on the keys. I've also had a few years in the highschool band playing the clarinet, but mostly the bass clarinet, and am pretty good at it.

I guess you can say I'm a natural at this sort of stuff, and yes, I love to share it with yall instead of putting it away somewhere in a filing cabinet where chances are slim of someone seeing it.
 
very good, I love drawing and used to go to portrait classes on Mondays, but my excercise regime has got in the way at the moment. Might go bak to it one day when I retire.

There's that "R" word again... When you "retire" Chrisy, you'll have even less time to do the fun things... You'll wonder how you ever had time to work a real job... :D

A lot of people tell me this....that's why I can't wait, only trouble is will I be to old to enjoy all this excitement. :lol:
 
thats the way it is... and I always say.. what is retirement anyway?
Good drawing... I always admire people with artistic qualities.. my daughter has that also. Keep playing musical instruments... its the one thing that you can still do when you get old... that and draw like you can.
