To all you current pistoleros and other fervent Second Amendment believers, I want to be your friend.



The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense.. The sword is more important than the shield and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental. As John Steinbeck once said :



1. Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.



2. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.



3. I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.



4. When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away. (shoot first, then call 911)



5. A reporter did a human interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him 'Why do you carry a 45'. The Ranger responded with, 'Because they don't make a 46.'



6. Armed criminals kill unarmed men with monotonous regularity.



7. The old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a lady commented on his wearing his sidearm 'Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you expecting a lot of trouble' 'NO Ma'am. If I were expecting a lot of trouble, I would have brought my shotgun.'



8. Beware the man who only has one gun. HE PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO USE IT!!!

A good buddy of mine had a home invasion in progress one night and fired a shotgun through the door to stop the intruders. As they fled ... one to the hospital .... he fire a shot through the ceiling.

The police report stated that a warning shot was fired and that witness heard two shots.

In Texas, if a person seeks to harm or steal, that person may be killed in the home, outside the home, or running from the home, all legally. If a person seeks to kill one of us, we will seek to kill him or her back. If a person does kill one of us, we do kill him or her back. We are the only state that runs an express lane to the execution chamber, and we have no prejudice.........white, black, red or yellow, male or female, the chamber accepts all. To obtain my concealed handgun license, I had to take and pass a course that included a range proficiency test equal to that which Texas State Troopers must pass. My license is recognized in 39 other states, which means I may carry and use my weapon in those states. Texas law requires that to draw and use my handgun, I must believe that I am in mortal danger, thus the law requires that I do not draw and use my weapon to warn, to apprehend, or to wound but I must use it to kill. In the county in which I live, each of us presumes, rightfully so, that the person across from you is also armed, and you conduct yourself accordingly.

The older you get the smarter you become. In order to do a job easier you use the proper tools.
I'm a firm believer that Any man or women will use any means to continue to exist.
The key words are MAN or WOMAN.
But there are the weak who believe a gun itself will kill you. There is no way possible to keep a criminal from getting a gun. Here in Texas we have some of the best gunlaws they are. All we need to do is inforce them properly.
Unlawful use of a firearm should be inforced to the max. A gun is a tool and when used properly will not cause harm.

Florida passed a Castle Doctrine rule similar to Texas' a couple of years ago. Amazingly enough, our streets aren't awash in blood (except for maybe in parts of Miami) as predicted by the gun control crowd.

Exactly Peg.
No one will never know if I carry or not, unless me or mine life is threatend. I will never take out my weapon for a threat or a warning. If I pull it out of concealment it will be because I intend to use it.
Like I said before a gun is not a toy it's a tool.
If someone breakes into my house I consider him history. My family and friends always enter through the door.
