I was thinking this evening that I spend too much time on here. Then, while I was admiring Misty Morning's lovely personal photo in HD's faces thread, I glanced down at 3Ways post count and rank. Almost 12k and 'mentor'. Then I think back and say to myself, "I've been here longer than 3way."

So in the last 20 minutes I've been looking at the members who have the highest number of posts and how long they have been here. Wow. I'm thinking I don't have a problem now...

It's like "it's not the years it's the miles". That goofy ranking is based solely on post count not longevity

It's like "it's not the years it's the miles". That goofy ranking is based solely on post count not longevity

I'm not referring to the ranking really at all. Just the number of posts made during such a short amount of time.

You could be kind and say that some people have a lot of good information and they're willing to spread it around. Or you could just figure that some folks are just garrulous old pharts that don;t know when to shut up

I am addicted to CT. It's just to easy with a smartphone to read and post. It doesn't matter if you're at the sale barn or riding shotgun. I even read and post while I am hunting. We don't have TV so besides my wife this is my favorite entertainment. Plus I am learning something all the time. What puzzles me is how easily people get offended by someone they don't know.
 
Post #s in of themselves mean nothing. Whatever moniker any given website chooses to use, to mark any particular milestone based upon post count means very little as well--imo anyway. The quality of the post--that is, the information contained within those posts, whether it be a total of 2 posts or 2000 is a much better indicator of a member's "worth" in any on-line community.
I don't really post much here--comparatively speaking.
Other places, I post a LOT more.
