I hate hogs

I have a sounder giving me fits old sow is trap wise.
Sit out every night and can't catch them in action.
Anyone every used a snare for a hog? I would really like a B-52 to carpet
bomb the guys place behind me. Cut his place in the bottom and let it
grow up in a saw brier thicket that will take off body parts.
This bunch is the first that won't back off on the electricity just tear it up
and go on through.

I've had real good luck catching a few and putting them in a stout pen, then setting the trap next to the pen. Caught 29 in a month that way. Even caught some twice.....don't ask.

I've used snares with good luck. Find a trail they are using and set them low to the ground. I bait them with corn soaked in diesel for a few days so the deer leave them alone.
I've also started letting some young fellows that live down the road run their cur dogs on my place. It seems the ones they don't catch leave the country for a while when the dogs get after them for a few nights. I see fresh sign I just give them a call.

Quite true. I wouldn't let just anyone run dogs on my place but I know these boys' father real well and they assured me their dogs would not chase cows by showing me.

Well they will move for a while caught them out right before dark with all the rain
has got their hidey hole under water. One met the 22 Hornet.

Snares don't know what they are catching so be prepared. Taking on a big liability.

I hate hogs just as much or more than any one you will meet... but I hate snares more.

i use snares on a trail..had luck with it..i dont bait em or anything. just one that snags em as they run by. google it..theres alotta snares style out there
usually just shoot em when i walk up to em and drag em of..reset it and them stupid pigs will get another the next day

They are gone for awhile now two to never return.
Mrs was on me the other day about needing to get the kitchen garbage and burn it.
As I put it in the mule low and behold they were in the east pasture.
I had put the Hornet on the mule. Ruger American with a game spotter talked with
another one about his transgressions the next night.
