The weather liars are talking about snow, sleet and ice storms tomorrow, the geese are pasing ovehead to the north in huge flocks. Since dark I've heard a constant stream of geese, 4-5 flocks at a time.

I have seen them geese be wrong before but not as often as weathermen.

The American Elm tree in the front yard is starting to sprout leaves. Always a good sign of spring soon coming.

They packed up there Diddy bags and were pulling out last week flock after flock.
I just figured they had been fooled like most of the other Americans flocking to the hot air of some of the Democratic Primaries up north.

My canas are coming up and the Hackberry tree out by the road is budding out. Sap is on the rise, that's for sure. I can't wait to get out there and start the garden. I get fooled every year, though. March is a cold month around here.

Don't forget it snowed here on Easter last year, knocked the heck out of my peach's and plum's which was highly upsetting to me. I like my perserves.

Yes, my garden got nipped two years ago and I was out frantically covering up plants last year when in snowed in April, of all months. Like I said, I jump the gun every year in my haste to get the garden out. I need a green house. Anyone out there willing to come help me build it? I can't seem to get the hub home except on the weekends and there's so much piled up for him then that he can't get to it.

I built the Mrs. one 15'x 30 a couple years ago steel frame, with thermostat controlled fans and a mister system. Now before the first frost I have to get the tractor to haul all the dang pot plants to the greenhouse.

I can't imagine what I was thinking when I bought the material to build that dang thing.

It is every kind of flowering plant or ivy in pot's everywhere. What are you supposed to call them.

CB around here the term pot plants will get you a conversation with local law enforcement. As i have experince on that subject, when i was a lot younger! I now reframe from using term pot plants.I call them Plant Pots, or potted plants. Just having fun CB.

I wish you were right but it is -22 this morning. We can't remember the last time Feb was so cold! Supposed to get -15 tonight again too.

Red Bull, you got your head in the wrong place. I guess I am old. Never thought about it any othe way except in the potted plant way. Now, if you had been talking about one of my neighbors...

Lots of pneumonia battles going on with cows now. I've been lucky but know someone who lost a healthy 800 lb steer. It was in the mid 80's a few weeks back and set a new record for that day. Then we were in the high teens. Then cold wet rain. Now mild days. The swings are what make cattle sick. No more 80 degree weather until the applicable time and we'll be okay.

You had to have been at least in the low 20's. We had 18 recorded from the meteorolgical tower a short while back and you are not that far away.
