They" say he's a "moasic"(sp)That is,2 eggs fused and made one horse.. so he can't breed true.. darn it
 
He is a chimera. A chimera actually has two sets of DNA. The color happens when two fraternal twins fuse into one embryo in utero.

Not exactly Hook.
It's 8% of all fraternal twins and even then it's only that they share 2 different blood types. Everything else about them is normal.
