Good video. I am a big believer in making your cattle work for you. They've got cultivators built in right on the ends of their legs and a fertilizer spreader in the rear. Feeding hay on the ground is the only way to go in my book.

I can see this true around here. Ground that was in CRP but now has been taken out, since high grain prices, needs more fert., and lime then some of the ground that was being used for hay or pasture before being planted in grain.

Thanks for the comments on the video.

The shots of the nice set of heifers were taken at the Boston Ranch in California. It was a perfect day for shooting there last May.

The video below was the lead-off segment in he February 16 "I Am Angus" program. It features Leo McDonnell Jr. and his son, Steve Williams. I think it speaks to the heart of why all of us stay in the cattle business.
