Ever seen something like this? These machines were built in Higginsville, MO for the orchard industry. It is powered by an 18HP Kohler engine. The bucket can be raised approximately 15'. It has 3 speeds forward and reverse. The unit is equipped with a powerful 60" Limb-Lopper sheer. With the sheer disconnected it became a picking machine allowing me to pick the tops of my apple trees for my U-Pick Orchard.

Quite the implement for $1500!

Is that two 9" Ford pumpkins?

The driveline/frame is impressively overbuilt, with the exception of the caster wheel support. Are you able to drive from the bucket?

Very cool critter.

Remove the bucket and install a comfortable shooting platform, with a beer holder and room for an ice chest. Put some oversize co-op Grip Spurs on it, and some taller gears in those pumpkins. Critters beware!

Yep got five of them, spent over twenty thousand hours on them. The locally made squirrel picking machines are the best to operate but take some learning and skill. Two foot pedals control all the movements including the cage side shift. We have an afron but it has hand controls, how you meant to pick and prune while operating it!

They come with a bag you hang on the front to pick into that holds 6 bushels, i modified mine to hold a bit extra so as a trick i could have the cage half way up, go forward in top speed and then straight to reverse and drive to the tractor to empty the bag with the back wheel a meter off the ground in a balancing act. Id put on my best dead pan buster keating face and always got a laugh out of the backpackers working with me. Of course that was in my young reckless teenage years.

Some photos of three of ours, a squirrel and two older ones. The older ones used to run on lpg but converted back to petrol.
